His father James Colson Baker struggled with depression and unemployment while his mother Sonia Alane left them when he was nine. Baker and his dad moved to Denver in the United States, and they stayed in the home of his dad's aunt. Baker was bullied because the poorness of his life by the other kids. His first exposure to rap was when he entered sixth class. Colson Kelly Baker was born 22 April, 1990 in Texas in the United States. The rapper is most well-known for his hip-hop infused rock and his modern alternative. Baker has released four mixtapes in the period between 2007-2010, prior to joining Bad Boy Records. In the wake of delivering his lyrics faster than a bullet train and a soaring voice, the Cleveland rapper experienced a swift increase in fame and recognition in the year 2011. His career changed from self-released tapes to signing with labels. Then his career exploded and each album being ranked within the top ten.
